A message from Caritas about Saint Joseph's Penny to you...

We are so grateful to your pupils for raising money this year for the St Joseph's Penny Collection. It means a lot that you have joined forces with 200 other schools to support your local Catholic charity to help people here in the Diocese of Salford.

Donations are already coming in, and we're excited to announce that you all have now raised over £82,000! Congratulations!

With these donations, you could support families with:

- 1,462 nights in a safe, warm bed for homeless single parents

- 13 months of tailored sessions to reunite children with their absent parents

- or 6,500 hours of one-on-one counselling for families in crisis

It's impressive what so many students can do when they all work together!

With all that in mind, we want to continue to make the St Joseph's Penny Collection a fun charity appeal for students, informing them on the issues happening in their communities and empowering them to make a difference.

Image result for mary's meals Mary's Meals sets up school feeding projects in some of the world's poorest communities, where hunger and poverty prevent children from gaining an education.  It was founded in 2002 and has grown from its first feeding operation of 200 children in Malawi, to a world-wide campaign, providing free school meals in hundreds of schools and feeding over 1 million children every single day.
