Homework
Why is homework important?
We exist as a Roman Catholic School to support and guide the family… and impart this knowledge and love to the children in our care.
At St. Edmund’s we believe that homework provides the crucial connection between home and school life. You as parents have the opportunity to become involved in your child's education by overseeing what activities and experiences are occurring in the classroom. It offers insights into the difficulties and strengths experienced by your child and provides a specific basis for discussions with the class teacher. It also offers the chance to praise and support your child in a positive way. Discussion of homework and school based activities provide the opportunity to have a window to understand your child as they develop.
If you would like to find out more information about your child's homework then please visit their class page or ring the school office and book a meeting to speak to their class teacher.
