Welcome to St. Edmund’s R.C. Primary School website. Our school is a good Catholic primary school and has much to offer your child.

First and foremost, we are a Catholic school and we are here to support and guide the families in our community so that together we can grow closer to God. We teach our children to know and love God and share His love with others. Everything we do in this school is inspired by Jesus Christ – He is at the centre of our lives and we strive to be like Him.

Secondly, we promise to give our children an excellent education. Our educational philosophy is based on the provision of excellent teaching and learning opportunities with a view to developing the whole person so that we prepare our children to be good Christian citizens in the wider community.

We aim to provide a safe and secure, happy and stimulating learning environment in which our children can acquire high standards of knowledge, skills and understanding in all areas of the curriculum. We recognise the individual needs of all children and through our very committed and experienced staff, will work in partnership with you so that we can develop each child’s full potential in all areas.

We build strong and effective partnerships between home and school so that our children see the importance and value of school and learning. The trusting relationship between home and school is a really special one. Our experience shows that parents help their children enormously because they value education and the work that our teachers carry out in class.
